I had been to chiropractors in the past but not ones who took a wellness approach like Dr. Jenn does so unless I was walking funny I didn’t think I was out of alignment and didn’t go in for an adjustment. When I first came to Dr. Jenn, I had an intermittent sharp pain in my elbow. A family practice doctor had taken a look at it several times and told me I had “golfers elbow”, gave me anti inflammatory meds and sent me on my way. After more than a year of being on anti-inflammatory meds my elbow was in no better shape only weaker because I’d been trying not to use it. I also had a general blah feeling, my back didn’t hurt but it didn’t feel good and healthy either. I was having a hard time running; I felt like I just couldn’t get enough air into my lungs….I just attributed this to getting older and being out of shape. I also had GERD which I was told was irritating my esophagus and sinuses and causing my sinuses to over produce mucus which made me regularly stuffed up and congested (allergy symptoms) I was so impressed that Dr. Jenn did a full exam including x-rays before she even laid a hand on me. She explained my issues in detail to me and answered all my questions. With just a few visits to Dr. Jenn the pain in my elbow was gone! It turns out that I didn’t not have “golfer’s elbow”, one of my vertebrae was pushing on the nerve that went to my elbow. I was amazed that after just a few visits that pain was completely gone. My allergy symptoms and GERD also began to go away with continued visits to Dr. Jenn and my breathing became easier again. I have a curve in my spine and was so out of alignment when I first started seeing Dr. Jenn that the left side of my body was caring 20 pounds more of my weight than my right side. I am now only one pound different and the general quality of my life has greatly improved. Thank you Dr. Jenn! - JL

My first chiropractic experience years ago seemed beneficial, yet limited and I didn’t understand how or why or even if it really worked. Seeking relief from sciatica and low back pain a couple of years after thru-hiking the Appalachian Trial, I discovered Blue Ridge Wellness Center. Dr. Jennifer not only treated my physical symptoms, she and Theresa also expanded my awareness and understanding of whole body wellness. I learned how chiropractic along with proper exercise, stretching, nutrition and, most importantly, attitude all play vital roles in both physical and emotional health, and in overall happiness. I am thankful for the wonderful care they provided as well as their encouragement to leave a toxic job and inspiration to pursue my life goals. So, tomorrow (April 16, 2010), I’m leaving to hike the Pacific Crest Trail and then ... continue to achieve my dreams. - MB

I first came to Dr. Jennifer a few years ago for help with a number of health problems. I was constantly tired, suffered from bad allergies, sinus problems, and had a weak immune system. I was constantly getting sick and never really felt well or healthy. It didn't happen overnight, but within a short amount of time I noticed a difference in my energy level. Now, a few years later, I feel like a brand new person. I have tons of energy, my allergies and sinus problems are almost nonexistent and I no longer get sick constantly. Dr. Jennifer has a wonderful understanding of the human body and a gift for communicating the ways in which we can become stronger healthier people. Becoming a patient at Blue Ridge Wellness Center was
one of the best decisions I've ever made. - MM
